Detailed retinal imaging, often without dilation
The EIDON retinal camera takes a real colour laser scan of the back of the eye. These high-quality images allow us to examine the retina closely and create a visual record that can be compared during future visits.
One of the biggest benefits for patients is that retinal imaging can often be completed without dilating drops. This can make your appointment more comfortable and allows many patients to return to their day without the temporary light sensitivity and blurred near vision that can follow dilation.

Seeing beneath the surface of the retina
The Huvitz Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) system uses an ultrasound to create highly detailed cross-sectional images of the retina.
While a retinal photograph shows the surface of the retina, OCT allows us to examine its individual layers. This additional information can help identify and monitor subtle changes that may not be visible during a standard examination or retinal photograph alone.

Advanced measurements for your vision
The WAM Wavefront Analyser measures how light travels through your eyes and gathers detailed information about your prescription and visual quality.
These measurements give your optometrist additional information about how your eyes focus and how different parts of the eye may be affecting your vision.
