Most eye diseases are preventable or can be controlled if they are detected early, so it is important to have your eyes examined regularly throughout your lifetime. If you are housebound, or find it difficult or impossible to travel to receive treatment, our mobile eye care services may be exactly what you need.
Dr. Bryan Friedmann provides comprehensive eye examinations to house-bound patients, individuals in nursing homes or hospitals, and residents of long term or short term rehabilitation facilities in the Greater Victoria area. This service has become increasingly more important for those individuals who find it difficult or challenging to leave home and travel.
The vision assessment includes a medical and functional eye assessment. Any prescriptions required, such as for eye drops or glasses, will be provided to the patient. Dr. Friedmann’s mobile services are limited to comprehensive eye examinations only.
The cost for this service as of January 1, 2023 is $360 and typically services are provided on Friday afternoons.
